What Are the Steps to Successful Investing?

December 20, 2016

When you do a Google search or type in your web browser “What Are the Steps to Successful Investing” the following titles pop up:

  • Investing 101:  Taking Your First Steps in Investing
  • First Steps to Investing in the Stock Market
  • 5 Steps to Start Investing
  • Get Started:  First Steps Toward Great Investing
  • 5 Steps to Start Investing
  • Get Started:  First Steps Toward Great Investing
  • 7 Steps To Stock Investing Without Too Much Risk

However, I do not believe the answer lies within the headlines which pull up on the first page.

Why is that?

Because until you have awareness of how you are AND how you understand and see the world of investing anything you read or find online will not ultimately make sense to you. What’s more, you may feel that others are taking advantage of you if your investment lose value.

Investing in… you

Investing in you and building your own character is required prior to investing your money.

You need to know who you are, what you are wanting to do with your life, how you plan to obtain the opportunities which will create the life of your dreams. Investing in the stock market is easy, can be exciting, and fun. However, if you truly do not trust your own decision making processes than you will attract others who will take advantage of you.

Building your self-worth is the first step required before you begin your journey towards investing your money.

Here are a few simple things which may begin your journey.

  1. Challenge your critical inner voice. Accept yourself for who you are instead of who you think you should be.  This builds trust in your decision-making process.
  2. Make a list of the five things you have successfully accomplished.
  3. These successes were the result of a lot of positive attributes that you possess.
  4. Skills and talents you possess which resulted in your accomplishing the above mentioned persistence, intelligence, studiousness, discipline, desire, etc.

The First Step to Successful Investing is knowing your self-worth.
